United Parcel Service
Louisville, Kentucky

The CDA team recently completed a multi-year engagement at United Parcel Service (UPS) in Louisville, KY. CDA was chosen by UPS to develop the software solution that would be the foundation for a $1 billion plus expansion of their global all-points air facility in Louisville. The newly named UPS Worldport is the centerpiece of the company's global distribution network.

CDA directly participated in one of the software components of this massive effort called the "Facility Lineup Editor" or FLEx. FLEx is a system used for the planning and management of sort plan information for the $1 billion automated package sorter facility. Key software modules were designed and generated from Oracle Designer6i on an Oracle8i database platform.
